I have not had many ideas about the open source software and the related businesses. In my concept, the open source software was considered as a small program, and the reason of sharing the source code is just because it cannot attract the consumers. In fact, in Korea, my home country, the open source software business is not popular and not many people use the open source software. Therefore, it was very easy to underrate the potential of the open source. In addition to that, the international situation has been changed to protect their beneficial properties or knowledge by patent or copyright, which can be good way of earning money. So, I did not have any interest about the open source. However, after researching and studying about the open source, I recognized that open source is very popular worldwide, and many companies have adapted the open source business model.
